Dr Mayah Abraham joined ARUL in September 2017 and lectures on Business, Tourism, and Hospitality modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level, bringing extensive industrial experience to his teaching. He holds a PhD in Management, is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), and is a member of the Chartered Management Institute and the European Academy of Management (EURAM). He has published in international peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences.

Mayah joined ARUL in September 2017, bringing a wealth of industrial experience that enriches his academic teaching. He currently lectures on Business, Tourism, and Hospitality modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His pedagogy is engaging and interactive, incorporating class discussions and debates; he believes in learning through guided experience and peer-to-peer interaction, an approach reflected throughout his teaching style and one that has contributed to students launching start-up businesses and to improved graduate employability outcomes.
Before joining ARUL, Mayah served as a module leader and programme leader for Business, Travel, Tourism, and Hospitality, and held the position of Principal in a Further Education college. He has also taught at the University of Wales and at Coventry University in London.
Mayah has published and co-published in international peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work at both national and international conferences. He holds a PhD in Management and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), alongside membership of the Chartered Management Institute and active membership of the European Academy of Management (EURAM).
