Dr. Shahid A. Wani is Associate Dean at Eaton Business School with 15+ years in higher education leadership and 10+ years of teaching experience across the UAE. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration with a thesis on AI and machine learning in strategic decision-making across educational institutions. He has taught Human Resource Management, Marketing and Market Analysis, Strategic Management, Operations Management, Management Accounting and Finance, Sustainability, and Research Methods, and supervises doctoral and master’s-level research students.
Dr. Shahid A. Wani has spent over 15 years in higher education leadership, most recently as Associate Dean at Eaton Business School in Sharjah, UAE, where he leads strategic and operational direction across EMBA, DBA, Bachelor’s, and professional diploma programmes. His career has taken him through the full academic ladder — Lecturer, Senior Faculty, Programme Head, and now Associate Dean — teaching management-related subjects including Human Resource Management, Marketing, Strategic Management, Operations Management, sustainability, and Management Accounting and Finance to both postgraduate and undergraduate students.
He holds a Doctorate degree with a thesis examining the application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in strategic decision-making across educational institutions. This research sits at the centre of his current work, where he leads AI strategy and governance institution-wide, translating academic research directly into curriculum design and institutional practice.
Alongside his teaching and leadership responsibilities, Dr. Wani leads institutional accreditation and quality assurance frameworks spanning regulatory and awarding bodies in the UK, France, the USA, Italy, and the UAE, and works closely with global universities including Acacia University (USA), Unimarconi (Italy), Apex E’cole de Management (France), and the Arden University (UK). He has supervised both doctoral (DBA) and master’s-level research students through thesis and dissertation completion, guiding candidates through research design, methodology, and defence preparation.
He holds an MSc in Accounting from the University of Huddersfield, giving him a strong grounding in financial decision-making, management accounting, and market analysis and strategy alongside his broader management teaching. His combination of applied institutional leadership, accreditation and governance expertise, and doctoral research into AI-driven decision-making gives him a distinctive practitioner-scholar profile for supervising research at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and organisational governance.
